AVAST! I give ye the QC last.fm group!

http://www.last.fm/group/Questionable+Content

I'm already a member of the group, I just want to make the connection between teh qc forums and teh goodness of last.fm on said forums

EDIT:  there's too many people in the group to associate who's who between the two

I can't use last.fm...it's giving me issues since I'm behind a router.  It hasn't logged a single thing I've listened to with either plugins or the player.  No suggestions for portforwarding anywhere.  Same deal with Foosic, which is basically the resurrection (sic) of freedb.

I still use http://www.audioscrobbler.com/user/jgcrawfo/ as my link. I'm not entirely sure why. I think I just like the sound of audioscrobbler better than last.fm

I stopped using last.fm about a year ago when my computer went belly-up and then to my brother. He used it for some time before i remembered to change the password, but in the meantime he managed to get two songs by the strokes on the top 5 played and blink 182 in the top 10. This will not stand.

also, just from looking at her page, i think i'm in love with BrittanyMarie

Heck of compatible.

Also I think it is pretty awesome that I don't really just sit down and listen to The Beatles or TISM, but they manage to stay far ahead of everyone else at the head of my list because they are the bands I listen to when I am drunk as heck and want to dance.

I am often drunk and wanting to dance in my own house.

I'm from Winnipeg actually, and while yes I will admit to loving you our tastes aren't really that similar but the only person I've ever met with really similar taste to me is my brother. That being said you listen to some fairly great music.

So I'm new to the forum, new to QC, new to last.fm (and new to the wider world of music), but here's my profile:

Have to say that last.fm kicks ass, so hard!  Excellently useful, and (almost more importantly) non-invasive/non-obnoxious software.

That kinda sucks - "????????" is an undeservedly popular track.

?? Well, it's been rainy and gray the last day and a half in Ohio, and Mogwai/Slint are two bands I invariably listen to on rainy days.

Plus, all jokes on this forum aside, and all breathless praise put aside too, I love Spiderland.

Well, you seem to like GY!BE, so I'll recommend Milhaven.  Not exactly the same sound, but very informed and influenced by GY!BE.  They have released an album and an EP, both on the netlabel 12rec, and both the album and the EP are available for free download through the label and Archive.org.  You can find the album here and the EP here.
