I have very high compatibility with Tehz but everyone else is medium or lowish.

does anyone have even remotely similar listening habits to me?

you ain't kidding, the best i can get is a medium. also, i gotta wonder about the criteria on compatibility, some people have like 8 bands that I am into so I wonder if it's based on number of plays (cuz some of the artists listed I just listened to once) or does the fact that I listen to like 80 bands pretty regularly make it so noone can be more than medium....Makes you wonder.

I take my last.fm very seriously.

First of all, so do I. Secondly. YAY!  :-D I found someone above medium, I was convinced everyone secretly hated me.
I went through all of them (I think) and got like 2 medium and this guy, the rest were sad.

'sok, i rarely listen to modest mouse. but my playlist becomes tainted cuz i can't be bothered to make a real one, i just tell WMP to shuffle the whole library....it's not happy with that always.
in fact, i've all but stopped listening to modest mouse outside a choice few songs.

A small aside: What is that song where they sing about having rocks in their shoes and then go real high and sing 'when soul meets bodyyyyyyyyy', it's stuck in my head and i MUST hear it.

I'm pretty sure that's not Modest Mouse, it's Death Cab for Cutie. The song is called "Soul Meets Body."

Our tastes have VERY little in common, but I was thrown into a tizzy to see Penguin Cafe Orchestra at the top of your charts.  The first and last I'd heard of them was back in the mid Eighties - my best friend's older brother was into all kinds of 'odd' music (considering I grew up in Mullet and Camero Central) and had a CD or two from them. I think I have a 3rd-hand copy of Broadcasting from Home on a cassette in my basement somewhere. I just hit Amazon, recognized the cover immediately, and had to buy it.  The samples on Amazon echoed in my head like I'd heard the tracks last week.

Thanks for the jog down memory lane.

I don't want to put a music tag cloud because black metal just totally overpowers everything else, but I have been listening to more indie lately.

Maybe I listen to too popular music? I dunno, my taste is like acoustic /"indie" pop.
