Gridgm:
as an experiment during work (where i was kitchen hand possibly the worst job in existance) i made a playlist of one song (breathe off dark side of the moon) and left it on repeat for the whole time (keep in mind i was of course using stero head phones) and proceded to send myself insane (although it did take a good while)

my question

what is a good similar repeating riff that although good in short doses is likely to sned anyone insane

other good candidates include the bonus track off hit to death in the future head

Splunkle:
Iron Maiden - Aces High.

I had that in my head for 2 weeks once.  Not only was it in my head, any time I could listen to it, I was compelled to! It was like my muse was trying to tell me something.  ANYWAYS.  The point is that at the end of it I was fully going INSANE.  But I still loved the song.  Still do, in fact.  Iron Maiden is probably one of the few bands ever that can get away with this.

Just about any of the famous Megaman 2 riffs are also likely to do it.  Dodedooo do do do dooooo....

supersheep:
Ode to Joy from Beethoven's 9th Symphony. It will melt your brain.

EDIT: Man what a mundane 500th post... OOOOH LOOK AT MY SHINY NEW STAR!

öde:
Bioxeed. Google it.

Thrillho:
'The Sweetest Thing' by U2. I had the piano bit, ding..ding...ding...-ding, ding 'whoa whoa, the sweetest thing' in my head for like, a fortnight. That's all I knew of the song.
