Yes. The Ramones started punk rock. So what? I mean, they're overrated. And to be fair, they didn't really "start" punk rock. I mean, MC5 was around before they were and Radio Birdman started in the same year the Ramones did. So basically, you've got a band that plays two chord songs and gets credited with starting an entire genre. See, I view the Ramones pretty much the same way Kharbevnor views Nirvana.
Why do you people hate the Chili Peppers? It really baffles me. Is it because of all their mainstream success?
