Gridgm's list is good, though as far as I remember Xysma as being industrial: I think they may have morphed their style (or there could of course be another band, it's a medical term). Off the top of my head the only bands I can think of not yet mentioned are Cliteater, Lord Gore*, Torsofuck, To Seperate the Flesh From the Bones (worth hearing because one of them is/was also in HIM (!!!)), Mincing Fury and the Guttural Clamour of Queer Decay, Penetrated Iron Goat Fetus**, Birdflesh. Libido Airbag, Bodies in the Gears of the Apparatus*** and maybe the first Cattle Decapitation album, in that it's pretty much pure carcass worship, and in that you can't argue with songs like 'Parasitic Infestation (Extracted Pus Mistaken For Yogurt, And Then Gargled)'.
* Verging on death, but their album covers are done by Waita Uziga so you know it's good.
** the track 'The Colourful Butchery of the Imprisoned People of Planet Rainbow, On The Northside Upper County Torture Chamber of Planet Pain' has got to win some sort of award for its title.
*** Although it will probably be a joint award with BitGotA's immortal 'A Lubricated Rubber Glove and Pornographic Photos of a Decapitated Chinese Hooker'.
