That's a '59 Pro DC. They discontinued them last year. Going on eBay anywhere from $250-400 right now.

Please donate the dano on the far left and the LP to me, I am poor and in need of guitars.

Edit: Also, what's the model of the dano? I am actually dying to get my hands on one.

I've had that Les Paul for 23 years so no.

The black Dano is a baritone guitar, the regular model is called a 56-U2.

I'll take the Tele, the Les Paul, and that maroon Dano '59 DC. Especially that Paul, it looks like it's seen a few years (but has been beautifully well-kept).

Also, I can't tell if that acoustic archtop with the f-holes is a Kay or not. If it is, I wants it. :B

Mannetar?  Guitarequin?   :?

So, at my local guitar shop, there's this used Johnson hollowbody jazz guitar.  I played it through the amp I'm getting, and it sounds pretty sweet.  It also has the kind of finish I want, and it's only three hundred dollars.  The downside is: gold hardware.  At least the pickups are gold-plated.  I'd also have to put lighter gauge strings on it.  But hey, a three hundred dollar guitar.

My first guitar was a Johnson. I still have it and if not for the shitty electronics it'd still be playable.

I went and hung out at my local music store yesterday.  My friend and I were fooling around with some gorgeous Lakland basses, and we got to talking with one the cool employees there.  It turns out he has the weirdest upright bass known to man.  It's from sometime in World War II, and was made for Kay by the Ford Motor Company.  It has an aluminum body.

When plunged into the PC, it basically acts as a digital drum set, only you could theoretically map different sounds to each pad.  Setting the pads up in a binary configuration could be cool (different "notes" when the pedal is held down or whatever).  The band The Guitar Zeroes did it with Guitar Hero controllers.  They could hit about 31 different notes without changing any of the settings.  They're actually alright for what they are.

And naturally, play the absolute shit out of it  8-)

I would probably take a whole-guitar picture, but I don't feel like it. Why should I take pictures of the SG when I can destroy the house next door with sound waves?

On a side note: I'm getting a new 7-string pretty damn soon!

I was just telling Shane the same thing. Although I do agree that it'd be better if it were a bit simpler. At least, that's what I'm assuming is what Shane likes about the design on the back.

I quite like it... I half agree with the back-to-front thing but i like how detailed the front is. Might look cool with the colours used on the back but the design of the front?

Also... does it seriously say "Music Saves Lives" on the back?!?

[edit: Oooooooh, it's part of the "Music Saves Lives" project. Got it.]

Guys, I think we all forgot how awesome my Firebird is, lets get back on topic

Anyway, that SG is all kinds of sexcellent.  In other news, I just got an Ibanez Mandolin for $180.  In other other news, My Grandad's 1940s Gibson ES-335 is finally finished being worked on!  it should arrive within the next week or two!  Pics when it happens!

Well, I think the XBox 360 controllers are USB right off, so if you've got the PS2/3 version, you'll need an adapter to even hook it up.  As far as making music with it, I know there's some sort of mapping program out there, watch that video I posted, they mention it in there.
