The Raconteurs - Broken Boy Soldiers (the whole album. exactly 138 plays [thought the number would be higher])

the reason: when i lived in arizona me and one of my roommates didnt have our own bedrooms. we each had a matress on the floor in opposite corners of the living room and this was the only album we could both agree to listen to at night when we were sleeping. plus it's an amazing album.

i get a shiver in my spine at least 3 times whenever i listen to it. it's the closest i have been to an orgasm from listening to music.
6:31 to 7:57 contains the most awesome vocals i have heard.

Hummm. Last FM says it's "What I Say and What I Mean" by The Like. I was listening to that album a lot when I started my account though, I suspect my iTunes is different, but my main comp is toast at the moment.  :-(

That'd probably be something by Nirvana.  Maybe Smells Like Teen Spirit, just because it's the first song on the album.

Nirvana's the only band I've consistently liked through every musical phase I've ever been in.

Reconstruction Site - The Weakerthans

This last winter, I listened to the Weakerthans almost constantly (still do, I suppose...) and this song especially was a song I loved listening to while driving in inclimate weather (rain, snow, etc).  Most of the songs at the top of my list are under three minutes long, though, like Novotel by Adam Green and Our Retired Explorer (Dines with Michel Foucault in Paris, 1961) (also by The Weakerthans) and The King of Carrot Flowers Pt. 1.  I guess I have a short attention span...

With a play count of 49: In the Ghetto by Elvis. Much like another fellow's "Eye of the Tiger Day" I was editing a video for a class, and just stuck the damn song on repeat. I now hate that song.

A close second, with 42 plays (working on 43 as I type), is Stormbringer, by Deep Puple. Because it kicks ass. Because I love Blackmore's guitar on that song. Because I felt like it. I never would have thought it's my favorite song, but apparently, it is, according to the number of times I've listened to it.
