the first level isnt difficult, its impossible

i mean that
just get to the end

i dont know if its just badly programmed or what, but the only thing missing to make this the shittiest game ever made is a time limit

Nah, see, at the end of the level, the object is to jump over the pole, but then you have to jump onto the pole from the other side. If you just keep going it traps you and you have to kill yourself.

It's a brilliant game.

Blue Ice

This game is impossible.  The game itself is so rediculously hard, that words can barely describe it.

It's an old point and clicker that you basically have series of puzzles and whatnot.  Think you're doing good?  Well, entire puzzles and riddles are simply red herrings. For years and years there was NO ACTUAL ENDING.  See, it was made for a contest with prizes.  Well, the fact is, people would have just hacked to the end, so he never put one in!  I say for years and years because he finally walked players through to get to the end just recently, so in essence there is now an END, just not an ending.

But the whole game, besides it's awesome mind bending weirdness, toughness, and borderline incompleteness has a really cool feel to it.  If you have a phd in cryptography, I highly suggest you give it a shot without a guide.   I believe you will also need about a decade of free time as well.

my friend once bought a game called Okami for the N64 (I think)

it's described as "a unique combination of Real-Time strategy and pinball" It may sound interesting but it's a horrible game that still has us in fits of laughter. We believe it was made for our amusement.

I still love the concept of that game, even if the controls turned out shitty.

Yeah, Okami is quite a bit different from Odama.
And quite a bit better.  Probably the best game that came out for PS2 last year.

It's a sort of Zelda-esque game.

You want a ridiculously hard game? Play I Wanna Be the Guy: The Movie: The Game.

It's worth it just for the Castlevania sequence, where The Kid does the intro to Symphony of the Night with Dracula.

It's hilarious and even more fun to watch as the player of the game slowly has his sanity worn away by the difficulty of the challenge.

So, another entry in the IGF awards recently recieved the demo treatment, Audiosurf.  Take Guitar Hero, Bejeweled, and DDR, and this is what you get.  You pick a song on your hard drive (I think it allows mp3, ogg, m4a, and wma), and it scans it through the engine, and creates a track you travel on.  You collect little colored blobs, and if you get three or more together, you collect points (5 different colors and point values).  There are also powerups that change colors of current pieces, special chameleon blocks, ships that give you special abilities.  At the end of it all, you can opt to upload your points to a regional database and see how well you scored compared to other people who played the same song.  At the moment, it's limited to 3 plays when you first download it and an additional play when it's updated, and it doesn't do songs over 12 minutes long yet (it's still in beta).  But it's a lot of fun.

that sir does not sound strange....that sounds awesome.

It was still ridiculously strange, the strangeness just happened to be eclipsed by the shittiness.

Yeah....it was Shaq fighting in a martial arts tournement in another dimention. That alone is strange.

Or Drug induced. That's what I'm betting on.

Neverhood was a pretty strange game, especially the room with all the text about the Neverhood-universe.

There was a game a friend of mine had for the SNES, Packy and Marlon, where the objective of the game was to regulate their glucose level as they adventure through a forest. The fact that they made a videogame based on diabetes that starred two goofball elephants still baffles me.

Earthbound is pretty strange too, which is probably why it rocks so much. Such a unique and creative role playing game possibly saw such success due to it's peculiar charm.

Apparently the only proper way to play it is to sing along Tiny Tim songs (in falsetto, of course).
