Recommend me stoner/doom
amok:
Bongzilla - Methods Of Attaining Extreme Altitudes (or something like that, it's been awhile)
Misereatur:
Om, a Bass-Drums duo with long hipnotic drones and wacky vocals (check out the split with Current 93 I uploaded before I went to boot camp). Big Buisness are also a Bass-Drums duo (now working with the Melvins), but they're more riff based stoner then drone. Teeth of Lions Rule the Divine are allways good, long drony stoner, sounds a bit like Sunn O))), and I think it involves some of Sunn's band members. They also realesed stuff on Southern Lord so probably, yeah.
You should definitelly try Earth. The first drone albons and the calmer newer ones. All of them are amazing.
Also Skullflower.
thenosebleedkid:
Drone is not stoner music, at least in my experience. The current 93 and Om stuff you posted was really a far cry from Sabbath or any other bands that are mentioned in this thread.
onewheelwizzard:
I don't know, I see a direct line of evolution from Sabbath to Sleep to Om. Om is interesting because they managed to straddle the middle ground between drone and stoner riff-rock so well. I don't know if anyone has ever done "drone riffs" so well.
Spinless:
Jimmy Eat World's stuff before they released 'Bleed American' I consider to be essential stoner/doom music. It's so atmospheric!
