I am ashamed to admit it, but I am falling hard for the hype around Project Cloverfield.

Eternal Sunshine was good, and his Music Videos were really good, but I couldn't consider myself much of a fan.

War, Death Sentence, and Shoot 'Em Up

I know that they will be terrible but I really need to see some new action movies.

Of those I've only heard of Miyazaki so I'm not voting. I will say however that I can't wait for Day Watch to come out.

I am so in the Gondry camp. The movie itself sounds amazing too, in terms of the idea he's running with.

....but, but, I read here that Jason Schwartzman is in the Wes Anderson movie? Conflicted!

I wasn't aware Gondry and Anderson had new films coming out. They do sound freaking awesome though, and I will be checking them out, along with Ponyo on the Cliff. But what I have been most excited for is '30 Days of Night'. Check the link for a trailer and a scene from the movie:

I'm also looking forward to Neil Gaiman's 'Coraline' and J J Abrams 'Cloverfield'.

Miyazaki can do no wrong. Ever. Period.

I'm all Anderson-ed out. Can't stand Jason Schwartzman, either. I'm expecting Darjeeling Limited to be like The Life Aquatic which is to say, whimsical and empty. But I'd like to be surprised.

As for Be Kind, Rewind, the premise is awesome, and Gondry has true vision. The only thing that could fuck this up is Jack Black.

Really looking forward to the next Coen Brothers movie, No Country For Old Men, which looks amazing based solely on Javier Bardem's pressure-gun wielding psycho. We might be looking at the new Hannibal Lecter.

Hey! I'm a teenager! I like whimsical and empty!

These are three directors that I like a lot, too! I just watched the Be Kind, Rewind trailer and I'm really impressed. I think Jack Black looks okay. Mos Def looks more than okay.

Howl's Moving Castle was sooo cute. I really want to see Nausicaa! Miyazaki is such a crowd-pleaser, I've watched his movies with all types of people and they nearly always go over well.

I am straight, but I still have to say, if given the chance, I would totally bang Mos Def.

I've gotta go with The Darjeeling Limited.  Gondry is good and "Eternal Sunshine..." is one of my favorite movies but Anderson is by far my favorite director.  The scene in "Royal Tenenbaums" where Margot gets off the bus in slow motion (with Nico's beautiful "These Days" playing in the background) is probably one of, if not, my favorite scene in a movie, ever.

Plus, Jason Schwartzman + Bill Murray = awesome explosion.

Fuck yesssss.

I've got my doubts as to how well McCarthy's writing translates to film, but I will definitely be there the day it comes out.

Hmm... Is that the same Miyazaki that did Howl's Moving Castle and Kiki's Delivery Service?

I'd chose him (I like Japanese things, sue me) from that list, but if it was an option I'd chose 1-18-08.

Out of all the movies he made, you pick those two... Spirited Away? Princess Mononoke?!
