As far as the "not having heard of Bright Eyes" thing goes, I can kind of see this fellow's point. Cassadaga sold 58,000 copies in its first week and "Lua" and "Take It Easy" simulatneously topped the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart when first released. "First Day Of My Life" is played without any dialogue over top of it in Knocked Up which was a ridiculously successful film. I am, however, sure that someone else on his campus has heard of them.

You know Johnny, the only radio I ever listen to is NPR. I have no idea what sells and what doesn't and what hits the top 40 or what have you.
