I am contemplating putting my purchase off until the gpu die shrink comes through also, but seeing as I am not sure exactly how long that will take until it's released I am really in two minds about the whole deal.
I'd just up and buy a Halo edition console for the ensured Falcon, but then people might think I liked Halo. Ugh.

I've had an XBox 360 since launch, and no problems so far except for two games (out of about 20) that caused the occasional read error (stupid Prey). Unfortunately, ever since I beat Bioshock this marvel of 5g is being used:
60% Bomberman
10% Catan
10% Golden Axe
20% Teh Haloz & assorted other
Which means that 80% of the time it is providing me with slightly more oomph than an SNES. Yay! Of course, when Rock Band comes out, that's all going to change . . . .

Aside from that, I decided to instantly go get my PS2 back. Why? Because I'll wait until I can buy a 360 AND keep my PS2 and Stereo.

What's wrong with Halo? It's only bad if you consider it
a) the best game ever
b) the first fps ever
c) the only game on 360
there are kids on every game, so i dont really think you can say that. good games get popular. popular games are played by lots of people.
i think its a great game, ive had a lot of fun playing with friends, and this one looks really awesome.
that said, i wish i had an HDTV, id sell my wii in an instant to get forza2 and halo3.
