Moral Dilemma
Brotheridge:
It is almost impossible to get tortoiseshell plectrums these days (at least where I am). I understand why this is and think that to kill a tortoise to make a plectrum would be obscene.
I have, however, been told that tortoiseshell is the finest material to make picks from.
Suppose someone has a sister whose tortoise just died of natural causes. Further suppose that the aforementioned someone had kindly offered to bury the pet to save his sibling more unnecessary heartbreak. Would it be completely immoral for that person to attempt to fashion his own tortoiseshell picks and pretend to bury the animal? The sister would still have a place to pay her respects to her lost friend and the guitarist would have some sweet new gear.
Plus, Elizabeth would never know.
Katherine:
How old is said sister? Maybe you should ask her if she's okay with it. I think if it were me, I'd like knowing that he's still kinda living on through your music. Whatever you do though, make sure you dispose of the rest of the animal respectfully.
Brotheridge:
She is 25
The age of this person's sister doesn't seem too important to me as she would never know. If this person were to undertake this macabre project would it be wrong of them to post progress pics in the arts and crafts section?

My job would actually make your idea just as easy for me to achieve, Pilsner...
