I Am Legend
Dimmukane:
Not having read the original book, I went to see this last night. It wasn't as bad as I was expecting it to be. Think Castaway meets 28 Days Later meets Land of the Dead. Will Smith was actually believable as Robert Neville.
What was REALLY cool was when we left the theatre and the fog was so bad I couldn't see my car from the front door of the theatre (and I was only parked 8 spaces out).
It scares the piss out of you.

Zombies are never optional, they are a requirement.

I gotta go with the OP here. "The Road" was easily one of the better books I read all last year. It's McCarthy's finest work to date. It makes a hell of a lot of books like it seem embarrassing by comparison. It also fits the genre despite the fact that there is not a single zombie or anything like zombies. Read the book and I think you'll change your mind.

The Last Man on Earth (movie)

Okay it's pretty crucial to mention that these two films and the titular film of the thread are based off of the same book. The Last Man On Earth is the best adaptation. It's an old Vincent Price film with excellent pacing, marvelous cinematography and sobering writing. The Omega Man is campy as hell. The Will Smith one could go either way.

His cooking show was awesome
