And even more so, Dinosaur Jr. J Mascis's voice isn't crappy so much as really, really thin. But it fits the music.

I should start collecting royalties on that phrase.

Conversely, I think on Heim, his voice seems way less instrumental, and more like actual vocal work. It's wonderful.

Oh analoguethought didn't Bjork make an album that was entirely vocals?
