Rock Band
ackblom12:
And of course Rock Band 2 came in 10 minutes before leaving for work so I only really got a chacne to tear the box apart and leave the drum pieces all over the counch so I can put it all togethor after work.

I'm going to construct an electronic drum pad, and attach it upright to a base and install the double pedal off my regular drum kit for it /nod.
I'll finally be able to play Twilight of the Thunder God by Amon Amarth!

Don't they make electronic triggers specifically for bass pedals?
I bought the $30 replacement pedal they sell at Best Buy. It's actually not bad. It's a pull-spring design, rather than a push-spring like the stock pedal, so it's more responsive.
Trollstormur:
i must go check that one out.
Cadeonehalf:
I lent my kit to a friend for a week and he broke the stock pedal. To repay me, he got me this 3rd-party pedal that is a little smaller and sticks up at a more extreme angle to your ankle.
As such, the hinge of the pedal isn't strained nearly as much and therefore doesn't break. When the actual pedal itself broke in half, I just bolted some siding onto either end of the pedal and now it has been transformed to some sort of epic indestructible monster pedal. Now if only I could keep up with Mike Portnoy's ridiculous bass beatz.
SilentJ:
oh dude Mike Portnoy is pretty ridiculous
(...wait, is there Dream Theater DLC for rock band 2? I must have missed it)
