Gigs you've been to and your thoughts.
valley_parade:
Rheostatics! I'm not familiar with them, music-wise, but I have a book Dave Bidini wrote about traveling the world and playing hockey.
orangepeas:
do you want some Rheostatics music?
valley_parade:
Yeah, throw some into the mediafire thread, if it's not a problem. Thanks!
orangepeas:
Coming right up!
DMart:
Saw the Smashing Pumpkins at V-fest - heaps better than at Festival Hall, mainly because of the sound, but also they were playing a bit better and I was in the crowd rather than the stalls. They played Zero and Cherub Rock, which they didn't do for most of their shows from what I've heard. F**king excellent. Billy had his autistic brother come out on stage with a tamborine during 'Set the Controls to the Heart of the Sun' (he did this at Festival Hall too) - that guy seriously rocks out on the tamborine. It looked like there were a lot of Pumpkins fans at the festival too - like 1 in 20 people had Pumpkins apparel.
