How should I crochet this cat?
« on: 18 Nov 2007, 00:41 »

I am in the middle of crochetting a little pet kitten, but I cannot for the life of me decide how I want it's body. How should I do it? Sitting? Standing? Or should I make it like a ragdoll?

Here's his head, and the bit of his body that I have already made. Really it could go any way from here. I just don't know which way yet!

Suggestions? Please.

ETA:yes, he is laying on crocheted bread. And yeah, I realize the date is off. It was reset a while ago, and I never bother to fix it.

Make it ragdoll like, kinda like the cat from Sam and Fuzzy : http://samandfuzzy.com/archive.php?comicID=108

Ragdoll or standing. Or you could crochet the legs separate and attach them with buttons so they are movable and then you can have it sit or stand!

Nice bread, btw. Are they just decorative or are you using them for something?

On a side note,

I love the slices of bread!

i vote for ragdoll. it would be the easiest construction and super kawaii.

I say give it a muscular human body.  Kinda like a minotaur but with a cat head instead.  It would look fierce!

Or ragdoll, that would be pretty cool too.

Sorry to dredge up a slightly less recent thread but can anybody say
CROCHETED CAT SANDWICHES?
nom nom nom indeed.
it's all adorable too. ragdoll, I'm thinking, but that button idea sounds awesome too.

/edit, to add sense, and a point.

I'm not cool enough to have a signature. Sorry. Let me just take up space with this instead.

Buttons on the bread slices so you can button them to a piece of cheese or salami or something!
