Damn, I was going to be all sneaky-like and mail you a CD-R with "British Sea Power - Do You Like Rock Music?" lightscribed onto it.

squawk:
Holy shit!

Do You Like Rock Music? is so good, holy shit. It's so good. The chord progression and crescendo before the guitar solo on "Open the Door" is my favorite moment so far.

So far:

Magnetic Fields  - Distortion
British Sea Power - Do You Like Rock Music?
Haven't listened to the new Mars Volta but it sounds good.

Looking forward to Mountain Goats, Flogging Molly, Destroyer... I want to be excited about Rancid's seventh album, but after Indestructable...  :?

Also, how about that new Spice Girls?! ...Yeah, didn't think so. Speaking of terrible things, I've also heard Staind is working on a new album. Why do they exist? Really.

Edit: Speaking of British Sea Power, my roommate came in to talk to me while it was on, and literally froze and went, "What's this? This is AWESOME. You need to send this to me." I said I would, and he went on talking. The song changed, and about 30 seconds he said, "This is great too! What's this?" I said it was still the same band and I'd just copy him the album, haha. He's not even into indie. Score one potential convert for BSP.

TheFuriousWombat:
Based upon the songs I've heard from it so far, "Rest" by Gregor Samsa will be tough to beat. "55:12" is a amazing album and the new one (only their second full length) doesn't seem to be anything less. Needless to say I'm extremely excited for this to come out. It's been a long, long wait.

Tom:
wait, syne are you saying that there actually is a new Destroyer album in the works.

EDIT: Specified, sorry for the confusion. I'm pretty excited about the Dears next album, the one that Lightburn's been working on since before November 2007.
