20 jazz funk greats:
thing is, right now i live in toronto, but i won't be in june (this is still happening in june, right?), and is it really worth a two hour greyhound ride to meet some people i haven't even gotten to know well in internet life?
also, i can be a bit quiet initially so it could be awkward having me there.
unless we're all planning on drinking, in which case i should be more talkative

ps-you forgot to bribe me with pie

Lines:
Hang out with people you've never met or don't. And have you read this thread? Duh there will be drinking. That's a given.

Liz Liz Liz. FedEx yourself! Just make sure the box is big enough and you do next day delivery.

Slick:
Pie is implicit in all my dealings.
Except on every second Saturday. Then you might have to deal with scones or some other pastry thingy.

P.S. I favour Chicago. I'd rather it than DC (jhoking and mberan are there!), and I think East Coast makes it easier for people from Europe (who I would expect to be paying more than people in the West). I guess that needs input from them.
I obviously want it selfishly nearer to me, as well. I do kind of want to see San Francisco though, sooner or later.

KickThatBathProf:
See, I'm not so sure it's a good idea for me.  I'm also still rather new here. I live like 12 hours away and airfare is definitely out of the question.

Also, I'm scared of you guys

That is, like, the lamest thing ever. Two hours? Two hours. I'll be spending something between an hour or two (depending on if we get a direct or have to go through Cambridge or Guelph first) and I think that's nothing. I've gotten pretty used to riding busses over the years, but man, just, have a nap or take a book or bring some knitting or something.

I will be bringing pie...
