Alright, folks. Listen up:
A few of us have come to a set and definitive plan and I'd like to get it out to everyone so others can get in on it potentially.
Per Linds' suggestion, we are booking our own room at
Clarence Castle. The rooms are six beds mixed and they run $28 Canadian/$29.50ish US taxes included. There's a shared kitchen, great location (By the CN Tower) and the reviews I'm finding are top notch.
As it stands, Katie (calenlass), Mai (mooface), Matt (SomethingWitty), Shane (valley_parade), Rachel (pen) and myself are confirmed definite for this. I would also bank on Linds going (PM me, by the way), as it was her suggestion in the first place, she's just the only one I've yet to confirm with. Rachel and I are booking a six bed room for seven for Friday/Saturday/Sunday nights once I call to confirm a few things (And provided they're not booked up already).
Now, the point here is I'm looking for a headcount on people who still need a place to stay up there. Our room is essentially full and I'd like not to push it too much (We could probably fitmaybe one or two more since Mai and Katie are willing to sleeping bag it), but if we can get another six+ people who need a place, another full room could be booked and a blast could be had. This is preliminary as Rachel and I can't afford to be booking an ass ton of people on our own, but I'd like to at least get the ball rolling so we can get as many people who definitely want to go set up so they don't have to rush in a panic come May when they realize they don't have shit set up.
So, if you want to go to Tronno (Even if you'd like to go but aren't definite yet) and still need lodging, drop me a PM and let me know. This WILL rely on one person taking the initiative and booking the room and the others paying upon arrival (It's a ten percent deposit which for the whole weekend only comes out to about $60 US, the rest is to be paid upon arrival). Once it's all taken into consideration, a full official head count will need to be made for that person's benefit. I may not get along with EVERYONE on the forums, but damned if I legitimately won't try to make sure as many of us have a blast as possible.
For the time being, though, it's all just preliminaries. I'm looking at getting a tentative headcount so we can try and smooth it out for everyone who still needs help here. Once we know who wants in on this, then we'll find out who's definitely going and try and get someone willing to book. Once that point comes, though, only committ if you absolutely can go. The last thing we need is forum feuds as a result of someone blowing it off and fucking the person booking out of $100.
