See, that's kinda hard to do when James doesn't love me.

Also there are three states and part of a province separating us at the moment.

Well played, miss.

Also James, if you get a day job you should take the time off to make it to breakfast with us cool kids. We also need to set up a time to bone so Ozy will stop complaining.

Right, so plans change. I'm no longer flying to Toronto. I'm taking a god-damn 17 hour bus ride. May god have mercy on my soul. And please please please let the bus have good shock absorbers. So that means I'm leaving on the 19th and will arrive sometime in the afternoon on the 20th. The other good news is that I'm saving 400 bucks. Hopefully its worth it.

Man, we've talked up Tronnocon a lot. 23 pages, over 1000 replies? I'm betting that once all's said and done this thread will have been more fun than the actual event.

Y'see, I've learned something today. Everyone likes to plan for the future, and while the original plans may not turn out the way everyone expected them to go at first, its the journey, the adventure getting there that counts.

Canada? not so much. Getting hot and sweaty with Katie and Mai? Pretty rad. Unless Katie's A/C works. Then it won't be so much hot and sweaty as cabin fever, from being in the car for a long ass time all at once.

That's because I took part in this thread, but will not be taking part in Tronno.

And Matt, I hope Katie and Mai's menstrual cycles sync up for the ride and it's all they talk about.

So, Yelley and I have decided to go on a Yarn Store Crawl on Friday morning. The yarn stores mostly open around 10, so we'll get started around then - perhaps meet at In The Loop for coffee/breakfast?

Then we'll go hit Knit-o-matic, Lettuce Knit, The Purple Purl and Romni Wools.

We can knit together at Mike's place on Saturday if anyone wants to, but be warned - if you leave your yarn unattended for even a second, his cat will very sneakily find it, take it, kill it, and eat it.  I recommend a ziplock bag or something that closes completely with a zipper. She has actually learned to open the zippers on my backpack to get at my yarn, but it takes her a while, so a zipper should be fairly safe.

Didn't she also learn how to get through velcro?  Maybe you should just stash the yarn under Jerry.  She'd never get to it then.

Here comes the latest annual North by Northeast, Toronto's answer to that one thing with the similar name. This year's NXNE goes down June 12-15 at a plethora of Toronto locales, and much like its southerly counterpart, bands, filmmakers, journalists, industry types, and fans will pour into the Big Smoke to rub elbows and pump fists in equal measure.

So who's making the trek to Toronto this year? Well, far more names than a reasonably-sized paragraph can contain, so here are the highlights: My Morning Jacket, Ted Leo and the Pharmacists,

TED LEO'S IN TOWN THE WEEK BEFORE? *cries*
