no, no, it is not from where, but rather, into where. incidentally you don't throw up from your mouth, you throw up from your stomach.

anyways, what he means is, he didn't vomit such that the chyme was expelled from his body, but rather, it came up just a little bit such that he could feel it burn in the back of his throat and then he was able to swallow it.
