seriously guys. v-log makes my life so much easier. instead of reading and recording 50 thermometers twice a day, the loggers record the temperature every 15 minutes and then automatically graph it for me when i transfer it to the computer. genius!

Out of curiosity, do the thermometers drift out of calibration? I'm really not sure why I'm concerned about this. I mean, I know that it'll show trends in your data that aren't there if it does happen and you don't compensate for it and I can see why that's an issue; but I'm not sure why I'm terribly concerned about this particular situation.

depends on the type of thermometer, but yes... thermometers can become less accurate over time. our mercury and other liquid-in-glass thermometers get calibrated annually and have a correction factor to ensure continued accurate readings.
