On topic: Best advice is not to touch it, until you get it to a luthier. It doesn't look that bad
though, but ask the man if it'd be better to just buy a new guitar. Might have fucked the truss rod up.

On the subject of pain to younger children. One of the funniest things i ever saw was a toddler trip up and smack its head off the pavement. You could hear the screams before it even hit the ground. Me and my friends had to walk on very quickly.
