Lunchbox:
I love heels and I am good at walking in them but I do so much walking that they are only ever worn on very special occasions, and when I do, they are higher than 2 inches. I lose.

calenlass:
What I think is interesting is how many women do not have the ankle strength to actually walk properly in heels. I have lots of opportunities to sit around in airports and bus and train stations to notice this, and it is phenomenal. Why do you ladies wear heels when you wobble with every step? Each time you wobble you are putting pressure on strange points of the shoe that do not necessarily grip the floor the right way, and thus you are in danger of having the shoe slip and snapping the heel or spraining your ankle.

I have lots of heels, but I too only wear them on special occasions. Also since taking that photo I have acquired the cutest pair of black peep-toe pumps that can be found elsewhere in my photobucket.

Liz:
Yeah, yeah, whatever. I'm not too worried.

Lines:
Whatever the excuse is to look at stylish shoes is good by me.

I have noticed this, too. They either wobble or are so scared of trying to walk naturally, they look like they are stomping. Stomping around in stilettos is probably one of the scariest things I've seen on a regular basis, except for scary drivers.

I have heels that I wear on special occasions, but those are kind of rare. I like heels, I think they are pretty, but they are not practical for me, as my campus is WAY hilly and I usually wear flats or kitten heels when I go out. Also, any heel over 2" will put me over 6' and don't need yet another reason to tower over people. Severe downside to being a tall girl - can't have as many pretty shoes. (I make up for it with having too many sneakers and not enough dressy shoes.)

Liz:
That is the only reason I like being short- I can wear whatever height of heel I want and not tower over the general public.
