I'm torn on this. For me, at least, one of the things that made GTA so fun to play was that it was not in any way realistic. The series has never been about being gritty, serious and compelling; it's always just been about pure fun. And I worry that this could completely wreck that entire premise.

I really don't want this to turn into something resembling The Getaway, even if it is a billion times better than that game.

I don't feel that it would still be a GTA game if it wasn't about driving as fast as possible down the road and trying to wipe out nearby pedestrians. Don't get me wrong, it could still be awesome, but GTA is about the pleasure of jumping cars as far as possible and running down the street throwing Molotov cocktails left, right, and center.

The pleasure of GTA is jumping on the hood of someone's car and watching them sit there and do nothing while you stomp until the engine bursts into flames.
