Some art I made

<< < (5/7) > >>

Teh Geek Lord:
yeah, hands have always been an issue, but there is a whole chapter on hands in the anatomy book I purchased.  Much thanks for the help though, and I hope you will like the end results that I will post here.  By inking you mean going over the pencil lines in ink, right?

anythingxbutxnormal:
H'okay. Here is a piece I drew. It resemble's QC's style. I've been reading it so much that it's affecting my art. I'm sorry?

This is the cast of my online comic. I'll color it for when I post it on the site.

Teh Geek Lord:
I like your style, it is QC-esque with a twist to it. Now lets see that colored version!

The best thing you can do for yourself is to break out and try drawing some things you wouldn't normally draw.  This'll force yourself to think differently about your drawing instead of staying with the same safe decisions.  As someone said above, if you are serious about drawing you should get some anatomy books, especially if they are specifically for drawing,  There are some books by a guy named Andrew Loomis that are excellent and you can generally download them in pdf format if you want to check them out before purchasing one you think would best help you (it is best to have the physical copy so you can take it wherever you want to be drawing)

Have fun!

Teh Geek Lord:
Hey thanks a ton, Est.  I will take that advice, I purchased one anatomy book "The body in all its forms" and have begun doing quick sketches from it just to get a feel for how drawing from it will go.  Googleing Andrew Loomis now.  Will probably make a stop at Barnes and Noble and grab a copy of one of his books to draw from.  Thanks for the support here!
