Either that, or you are letting the other person do all the work. (But that is really not doing it right.)

In the past month I have given up a year and a half long vow of celibacy and there was not the least bit of hurt tummy (And he was most definitely not doing all the work. I rock!)

I think you hit the nail on the head, so to speak. This is probably the most likely explanation. I imagine if you're moving around alot or supporting your partner for a period of time, like if the male is standing and the woman is perpendicular, facing him he'd be supporting her and probably using his stomach muscles quite a bit.
