Forum culture is a definite real thing. I actually kind of want to become an internet anthropologist because it's such an interesting topic. The culture of the QC forums is vastly different from 4chan is different from SA and there's subcultures besides. And these cultures grow way quicker than the historical meatlife equivalent and transcend nationality, religion, and race.
Goddamn I went into the wrong major. I am so danged interested in this stuff.

A friend of mine (who I'm coincidentally meeting for dinner tonight; he's visiting) is basically studying internet anthropology in grad school.
