Ridiculous Decadency

The last thing I really spent a lot of money on were my eyeglasses. They were around $300, but I got fancy, awesome frames (the bright violet was really hard to pass up) and featherweight lenses with anti-glare and Scotch Guard coating on the lenses to help prevent scratches. They are good glasses and if they hold up as long as my last pair did (about 6 years), I have no problem with spending that much money on them. I can see and my frames are awesome, so all is good. (Also, I hate contacts and the laser eye thing kind of freaks me out, so I'll stick with glasses. I like wearing them anyways.)

Those and my spring break trip this year to New York, which will in total be about the same price, because it's through the art program. Hells yes.

Like "Wow, this is what normal people see when they shower? Awesome!"

lol oh yeah I definitely get this too. It is so different to shower with my contacts in that without.

I think I spent just under $300 for my last pair of glasses --like $50 frames and the most expensive lenses, which I also need to put in a pair of my OLD frames, so I've more then one pair of glasses I can see out of... --I concur with all of the iffy-about about contact people. I have a fear of sticking things in my eyes... I think glasses add something to my otherwise rather plain looking face, so I'll just stick with them...

Other things I think I am spending far to much money on lately: tattoos --and not just mine now. My Mom is getting one next Thursday and I'm paying for it (it's her Christmas gift). AND, when my tax return comes in, I want to get my Deathly Hallows symbol...

I didn't have a problem with sticking them onto my eye, but I just couldn't get used to them. And once I thought I dropped my contact down the drain when really it was shoved in the corner of my eye (don't ask). I think they're too much of a bother to put up with. Glasses are easier and more fashionable and so I'm going to stick with them.

That happens to me a lot too. In my case, I can feel irritation on my eye, and I can't tell if it's because the lens is shoved up in a corner or if the lens came out and my eye is being irritated by an eyelash or something. A lot of times it turns out the lens is still there and just needs to be flushed out with eyedrops, but sometimes it fell out and my eye is scratched. One time in highschool I actually had to wear an eyepatch for a few days. Seriously, I needed an eyepatch.

The funny part was that my friends were freaked out thinking my eye had fallen out or something. I mean, earlier I was complaining that my eye hurt and I needed to go see the nurse, and then when they see me an hour later I'm wearing an eyepatch. lol
