Ridiculous Decadency

Yeah. I mean goddamn people sometimes they are actually THE SAME frames without a logo. As long as you're buying from a good optician, and you get the frames properly fitted, anything is as comfortable as anything else. The rise in expense from normal glasses to designer frames is also insanely ridiculous.

I suppose I just absolutely cannot understand the mindset that feeds designer labels. You're paying ridiculous money for an artificially created sense of style. I buy all my clothes from Marks and Spencers, army surplus and merch retailers.

Patrick:
Yeah, but military surplus ain't gonna land me a job anywhere except, well, maybe Hot Topic. I would really like to be employed at some point.

You know, I'd easily throw down 250-300 dollars on a nice pair of designer glasses, but there's no way in hell I'd pay $2200 for a Les Paul Standard. Fucking weird.

--- Quote from: tommydski on 11 Mar 2008, 15:13 ---I have used disposable contact lenses for over a decade. Never had any problems at all. Can't even feel them when they are in. On occasion I have kept them in for as long as three days in a row, including sleeping in them. Not advisable but I have done it.

i accidentally fell asleep while wearing contacts for ONE night and i ended up getting an eye infection that was so bad i was in danger of going blind and wound up in the hospital for a week.

(this is why i only wear glasses now)
(also, my glasses are made by fcuk so people think they say "fuck".  hee.)

Katherine:
The only problem I have with sleeping with my contacts in is that when I wake up, my eyeballs are incredibly dry and I basically have to chisel the contacts off of them.

I don't know about anybody else but to me, the coolest thing about wearing contacts is wearing them while taking a shower.  It is a rare occasion that I shower after putting my contacts in, and I have had really poor eyesight since I was around 7, so its like a brand new world to me being able to actually SEE things whilst in the shower. Like "Wow, this is what normal people see when they shower? Awesome!"
