Ridiculous Decadency

last time i was at the gulf my brother cut himself on a jagged can dug into the shallow sand and i got a rash from the sand.
also i would have spent way more than $20 on gas to drive there from Austin, with it being about 4 hours away.
next time, i'm just going to buy myself an above ground pool. and have fun for about 5 minutes.[/mitchhedberg]

true, the gulf is a lovely place most of the time, i simply always seem to visit when it is not. the fact is not that i am complaining about paying for a pool, i am appalled at the decadency that people show by throwing away $20 to be in an environment resembling a cattle drive that never leaves the waterhole, when $3 to go to barton springs results in the same experience*.
*with more nudity :-o
