One time at a beach in Korea my uncle found a big jellyfish and gave it to me. As in, he swam over with it and handed it to me. I carried it up the beach to show my parents, and my dad shouted "jesus let go of that thing before it stings you!" ah fun times
ADDITION: well what do you know, I do have some childhood memories

Its true, I entered no geography bees in jr. high, but come on, Albania's really small, and Eastern Europe. Remember this whole thing about America, And Russia? Now true, by the time I was in elementary school the cold war had been over for a couple years, but our textbooks were sometimes 15 years old or more. If a country was farther East than Italy or Germany, it probably wasn't in those books.

Guys, the only good beach is on Wassaw Island. It is part of a nature preserve and you can go there and poke horseshoe crabs and sand dollars and see sea turtles and there are tons of seashells and it is usually cool and just windy enough to be pleasant and not windy enough to blow the sand around. You can walk for miles along it with the sea on one side and the oatgrass on the dunes on the other and not see anyone or hear anything except waves and seagulls.
It is the best beach.
