Ridiculous Decadency

And in response to MD beached sucking, they surprisingly don't really. Especially on Asateague, where you can go swimming and then get out and a wild pony will come up to you.

So, apparently people vacation in Virginia Beach. I have been there and have yet to understand the attraction. I guess it's good if you don't have any peripheral vision maybe?
Man, New England spoiled me for beaches.

um, what exactly does one expect from a beach other than clear water, sand, and (ideally) idyllic space in which to enjoy the fresh air?

Pollution and dead fish, some broken glass, sea weed, a lack of sand and some stones. Maybe a hypodermic syringe lying about and some lovely blue rope. Rotting seals are and occasional option and bad weather is compulsory.
