A Wet Helmet:
I'm threadjacking a little here: Have you ever seen Ichirou Agata play?  His use of effects live is unbelievable.   Too bad I can't stand noise rock because he's quite talented, it just makes my ears bleed.

Ah, the old Gilmour trick/mistake.

Also, I've got an eh 2880 looper, so it's great to make a loop that's 90% feedback, then goof around with the tempo to change the pitch of it, and keep reversing it right where it stops so you can stop/start it.

At my band's latest show, I put on my guitar and she started squealing in the most adorable, kickass way. 

The sound guy said, "If you put down the treble, you won't get that feedback."

"...But I WANT that feedback, Mr. Sound Guy!"
