My advice to you:
Sack the fuck up. Seriously that was some whiny ass stuff about things you can control, but refuse to because you don't like the jobs that are available to you. Guess what, kiddo. We don't all get to be billionaires and rock stars. Some of us have to do jobs we don't like so that the bills can get paid off. Sitting there complaining about what jobs are available to you is stupid. You should be happy that there are even jobs available at all.

Barmymoo:
ForteBass that's a bit harsh. I see your point, if there are food service jobs available then there are some jobs, but if the job you do is totally soul-destroying then maybe moving away to find another one is a good idea? When I moved to live with my mum instead of my dad I was looking for a part-time job but the only one available was in a butcher's shop. I didn't take it, because I'm vegetarian. I still feel I have the right to moan about there being no jobs round here ;-) Although tomorrow I have an interview at a cafe, wish me luck.

Isn't the phrase "so good they named it twice" also used for a band or something? Duran Duran springs to mind, but it might be Wet Wet Wet (obviously it'd be "so good they named it thrice" if it was the latter).

jhocking:
That phrase is used for just about anything where the name is the same words repeated. I heard it all the time about NYC (ie. New York, New York.)

My old room mate is from Kennewick, WA, right near Walla Walla and he's good people. If everyone in the area is as cool as he is, I'd say Walla Walla would be a great place to move. From what he's told me, all of his friends up there are pretty cool, too. And heck, there's a lot of cool cities up in that area that are (relatively) close to each other (Seattle, Portland, Vancouver). The Northwest is one of my favorite parts of the country, personally.

Whenever I think about Australia, I always remember the trains rides I took there going past places like Woy Woy and Berowra and those names always make me giggle. Berowra sounds like a Wookiee's name.

0bsessions:
I used to have Jimmy James, the man so nice they named him twice, sig quoted.

Anyways, moving to look for a job is a horrible idea. Especially in our current economic climate. You find a job and THEN you move, not the other way around.
