I don't think that you can really go wrong with Washington, actually. The Eastern Half has a cool climate, and the Western Half is just awesome. :-P
*Shadic lived in Olympia, Washington the first 18 years of his life, and is currently residing in Portland, Oregon.*

My advice to you:
Sack the fuck up. Seriously that was some whiny ass stuff about things you can control, but refuse to because you don't like the jobs that are available to you. Guess what, kiddo. We don't all get to be billionaires and rock stars. Some of us have to do jobs we don't like so that the bills can get paid off. Sitting there complaining about what jobs are available to you is stupid. You should be happy that there are even jobs available at all.
--- End quote ---
Believe me when I say I've struggled over this. I am just happier being unemployed and in debt than I am gainfully employed in food service. It's not worth it, for me.
There's a difference between not liking a job and having a job that makes you hate your very existence.

Don't forget Awaba, and Cockle Creek! Around here we have a lot suburb names that make me giggle, Dickson being one of them (because I am Incredibly Immature) but we also have Weetangera, Dodsworth, Carwoola, Googong, Narrabundah, Tharwa, Uriarra, Wanniassa, Waramanga and Yarralumla. We sure do love our syllables in the ACT.
Scandanavian War Machine:
yeah? well, Washington has a town called Goldbar.
it's not as classy as it sounds.

Thanks for the info, all. I'm giving this a lot more thought that I ever expected to. Ireally like my hometown, but I haven't really done anything about pursuing a job for after graduation, and I'm not really expecting to find anything right away that pertains to my degree (spanish major, history minor, heh), so I'd really have just about the same opportunities out there as I would here. A change of pace would be welcomed, as well, although I have some really good friends here, as well as a twin brother, who'd be hard to leave behind.
I never really planned on starting any sort of career immediately upon graduation either. Ideally I'd like to live abroad in Latin America or Spain teaching english maybe a year or 2 after graduation, and Walla Walla would give me something to do in the interim. Any other helpful advice anyone can give me?
Oh, also, why in my last post when I tried to type "Butternút" (sans accent) did it appear as "fuck" ? I didn't notice that until just now.
