Hey wow, a blog thread.

Ozymandias:
I don't think that's a shift in government so much as a shift in technology. The average person can find more information about anyone anywhere these days than they could 10 years ago, way more than 20 years ago, and infinitely more than 50. Our culture of information flow is more the cause and the government is just tapping it at the source, same as it ever was.

imonfire:
Just because the government has always been misbehaving doesnt make it acceptable.

Its warm enough to wear a skirt today!

Ozymandias:
I agree, of course. It's terrible. But it's not something that can be fought within the system, because the system either can't or won't fix it. It benefits from it when it won't, and even when idealists try to fix it, it does nothing. The only way to fix it is to fight the system. Be the person the government is looking for with their surveillance.

FIGHT THE POWER, MOTHERFUCKERS.

benji:
Today someone broke in to my house. They stole my computer, my camera, and my guitar. Damn it. This sucks.

ThePQ4:
Well, you're OK right? I mean, those are just possessions. At least they didn't kill you to get them or anything.
(But yeah, that sucks. Criminals are horrible people)
