Merch woes

TropicalLauren:
So there is a rather important typo on the store website 2-4 weeks really should be 2-4 MONTHS. I ordered a t-shirt on the 15th of February and it's the 16th of April and it's not here yet! Now before you go 'blah blah AIM QCMERCH blah'. I most certainly did that, I did that after it had been 4 or 5 weeks since I ordered and they were going to send it next week because they had to go on vacation. I received an email of shipment on the 27th of March. And then I contacted them again just a few weeks ago and they CLAIM to have sent it and 'it's in the mail', but it's not yet appeared.

It's now been 9 weeks and I move out of the country in two weeks and if I don't get it before then, I'll be taking it up with my credit card company if they can't show me explicit undeniable proof of shipment.

The thing that really gets me though, is that I was never ONCE issued an apology for the delay. Word of advice: Rather than showing your support by buying things, just click on the ads, it'll save you being in a position like mine where you are screwed out of your money. I'll never be buying something from here again.

You do realize that it is just two people running this merch right?

Jeph and Cristi do their best to get hundreds of orders out, but there will always be issues. You need to talk to them.

You may be part of this situation, or your mailing address may have a flaw that has not allowed delivery.

That's why Cristi posted this:

--- Quote from: Pengraffe on 14 Feb 2008, 23:10 ---I would also like to point out that because I am not psychic yet, if I get an email that just says "I ordered a shirt, where is it?" and it is from a name that is a) not real or b) not the name you ordered with OR from an email address that isn't attached to an order that we have, I cannot really help you. Please email me using the email address you used to order OR include it in the email you send.

Things I DO NOT need to identify your order unless I specifically ask for them:

-Credit Card information (I will never ask for this.)
-Transaction ID
-Receipt ID
-your address unless you want to change it

Things I DO need to find your order:

-the name of the person who ordered. If you used your parent's credit card, I need their name as it appears on the card.
-the email address you used to order
-a subject line that does not read "re: notification of payment" because those blend in when I am looking at my email
-a subject line. period. Our email program automatically filters out emails with blank subject lines because it thinks they are spam.

I hope all of these are helpful tips!

They may be able to change the address it's sending to. I do hope that you get your shirt.

I DID contact them, several times throughout the post. Did you even read it?

Let me point stuff out for you because you seem to have given me a generic response.

When speaking to QCMerch on AIM, I included all necessary information and they were able to see which transaction was mine.
I double, triple and quadruple checked my address in the email that was sent to me.
They would not be able to change the address if they actually shipped it like they claim. On top of that, if they could change it, they would only want to charge me MORE money for shipping half way around the world to my new home. Not the 700 miles it is from Massachusetts to Nova Scotia.

You imply that I did something wrong. I DIDN'T. It's purely a problem on their end. Even if they are only two people, they still are expected to provide a service in a time which THEY said. It's not like the website SAYS 2-4 months, it says WEEKS. As a consumer, if I feel that they haven't held up their side of the deal, then I have every right to complain. I didn't do it at 4 weeks and 1 day, I didn't do it at two months, but it's almost been two and half months. DOUBLE their upper boundary.

This doesn't seem to just be an isolated situation.  I ordered a t-shirt on February 12.  I still haven't been received it yet.  I contacted them and they keep telling me soon.  If they are going to offer something for sale they should make sure that they can deliver on their promises.  I purchased the shirt for a birthday that was a month ago.  I don't think I'll do it again. :-(

ThePQ4:
Rather then freaking out on the forum about this, why don't you just relax? Getting mad about not getting a t-shirt isn't going to get you any where. If the shirt doesn't arrive by the 27th of this (since you got the confirmation on March 27th). why don't you just e-mail them and be like, "I never got this t-shirt, could I please have a refund?". If you aren't a bitch about it, they may be willing to work WITH you. but if you're going to be heinous about it, I wouldn't blame them for just saying "Fuck you".

That being said, it may just be that the postal service lost it, and it's not their fault at all. Other things that could have happened: do you live in a dorm (I don't know how old you are, or whatever) or apartment? Maybe got delivered and you never got notice of it in your mail box --that happened to me once. If that's a possibility, check on it before you freak out some more.
