Shit that is a great lineup. That might even be better than the lineup EitS has for theirs.

That is actually one of the greatest lineups. And I cannot possibly go.
ATP, why do give me what should be a legendary musical extravaganza at a price I cannot pay?
Actually, New York, what the fuck? Why are the festivals here so expensive? I cannot possibly go to Chicago from Pennsylvania to spend $65 at PFest without spending over a hundred more. These taunts are unbearable and I can feel the necks around my curved and connected fingers as I shake my hands back and forth with rage.
Really ATP. My Bloody Valentine, fucking Polvo, Low, Growing, Mercury Rev, Om, Yo La Tengo, Mogwai, and Thee Silver Mt. Zion Orchestra? Amd what is with this reliving shoegaze? You already have My Bloody Valentine playing. But also Autolux and Lilys? Where do you draw the line? OH I GUESS YOU DON'T. I mean, what is with bringing back old 70's Krautrock bands? Harmonia (What.)?
You still have more? You say that there is also going to be an awesome Don't Look Back portion of the party? You say that Built to Spill is going to perform Perfect From Now On, that Thurston Moore is doing Psychic Hearts, Tortoise is doing Millions Now Living Will Never Die, and Meat Puppets, MEAT PUPPETS, is doing Meat Puppets II? Oh and I guess there is also Shellac and Dinosaur Jr.
Sure ATP, I love you for creating what feels like the most amazing lineup I will see in my lifetime, but this relationship swings. It fucking swings. Such cult status bands were not meant to go cheap after all. I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GO BECAUSE I'M BROKE IS BASICALLY WHAT I HAVE BEEN ALLUDING TO THIS ENTIRE TIME AND PROBABLY SAID IN THE BEGINNING OF THIS POST BUT DAMN DOES THIS DISCOURAGE ME FROM ENJOYING OTHER SHOWS WHEN I KNOW THAT I'VE MISSED THIS ONE.

Thee Ende.

PS: If you add one more band. ONE MORE! I WILL SAY THAT I WILL DO SOMETHING AND MAKE EMPTY THREATS SUBSTANTIATED BY AIRY ONLINE SENTENCES! Because I feel like the next person you add will be Jandek, Bottomless Pit, or a quite literally resurrected Velvet Underground.

Fuck, I would love to go to that. I only live like, an hour away from there, tops.

Wow, that's definitely one to keep an eye on.

No way is it nearly as good, even remotely, as the EitS currated show in England. I mean, they've got EitS, BSS, MONO, Eluvium, Envy, A Hawk and a Hacksaw, Iron and Wine, The Drift, Stars of the Lid, Okkervil River, World's End Girlfriend, The Field, Four Tet, Silver Jews, Sunset Rubdown, Dinosaur Jr. ect. ect. ect. The NY one looks good what with SMZ, MBV, Yo La Tengo, Tortoise, Fuck Buttons and Low as the most appealing entries on that list but it doesn't compare as far as I'm concerned. Then again, I'm much more of a "post-rock"/ambient kinda guy so maybe that's why. Still, both would be glorious to go to, both are over-priced, and both will be going on without me since I can't afford the tickets.

The prices for are for the whole weekend, so $225 isn't that bad. I mean, All Points West is $258 for the weekend, and then you're paying for a show where 50% of the band's aren't even worth seeing.  Well anyway, I gave up a week in Chicago to see this, so I'm pumped.

Holy fucking ghost that's a lineup. About 10 more bands are going to be added too. That's just ridiculous.

(Sorry, about the double thread)

Well, Maddy only got APW tickets for only one day (the day the New Pornographers and The Go! Team are playing)

Also quit bitching about the APW line-up since she basically got you that ticket as a gift. It's still not a bad line-up.

I wasn't really bitching, I was basically just trying to justify the price tag. Sorry!
