Johnny Marr is a quality guitarist, probably one of the greatest ever after Dave Davies. If you don't like what Modest Mouse is putting out, it's probably because they decided they wanted to make money for when they retire as opposed to sleeping on floors until they're 60. Not that Marr somehow corrupted their creativity.

I actually really like the newer sounds that Modest Mouse has been putting out.  They aren't stellar or anything, but they're definitely good.  Good News For People Who Love Bad News is probably my favorite album from them, but my opinions generally should be discounted.  Or at least according to Ciara haters.

I like Ciara, damn it >:V

i think marr is way more at fault than Isaac

I am listening to the Smiths right now

Sorry guys, I just cannot see Marr doing anything but improving a band unless they were already on the way out

but the music sucks because the keyboards don't have the cold/mechanical sound they had but a wannabe techno sound that it's pathetic for Rammstein standars.

This is true. New shit's still good, but not quite up to Modest Mouse quality.

Ugh, the most problematic word in postmodern society ever.

Post-modern can refer to any-assembly line consrtuction style of creativity/art where the composer composes his piece from other peices that were and are. the new albums are compiled from parts and pieces supplied by the assembly line that is the US Top 40 Modern Rock chart.
