THE WORLD as it should be

Um. Well shit you britons, how about that terrorist detention bill that passed parliament over there? 40-some days? That's a bit excessive, don't you think? (I know, this coming from a person who lives in a country that basically operates a gulag at Guantanamo, but still..)

Yeah, 42 days without charge is more than slightly ridiculous. It's quite annoying knowing that the only two parties that currently have any chance of winning are both more or less awful for their own unique reasons.
Frankly, though, I'd still rather have Labour in (who we have now) than the Conservatives (Tories, the opposition) because at least a half-decent argument can be made for Labour policies that I oppose, but no such thing can be said for the Conservatives.
edit: I just read about the 42 day detention limit. Fucking hell. I assumed that if someone is detained under it, then they would eventually have to be charged. Apparently not! If the police release the person before the time limit, they don't have to charge them. What the fuck, guys, seriously? What the fuck?

It's missing a few things, so I fixed it:
P.S. - DISCLAIMER! This map in no way represents my beliefs, but instead a bunch of stereotypes as I have observed here in the United States.
