In my high school it was a measure of pride how many times you've seen that video. I only saw it once, sadly.
In my home town, it was however many times you saw the movie The Miracle of Life, it was basically a movie that followed from conception to a very messy, very real, live birth full on view. Depending on which school you went to and which classes you took, you could catch this video multiple times between junior high and high school. I was unlucky enough to see it 3 times. Once in 7th grade Life Science, once in 9th grade biology, and in my 11th grade AP biology class. that movie is brutal guys. Like, if I remember right I think the mother chose not to have an epidural. Not so much a measure of pride at watching it but more in commiseration with other put through it. I mean, totally not prepared as a 7th grader for that, though I remember all of our reactions to that scene were priceless in that class. It was that teacher's first year at the school and I think she may have been reprimanded for showing it.
