Chords become annoying to the point of impossibility.
Your unwound strings also happen break easily.
It just defeats the point of most alternate tunings, at least for me: convenience.
I will admit that it's intellectually pleasing to have strings a fifth apart, especially so for me, because I am a veteran violinist, and everything would transfer over oh so easily.
