Some areas just have those laws for the sake of landscapes, really.  Some rolllercoaster in Ohio had to be modified a few years back for being too high above the treeline or something.

it was founded in 1683, ben Franklin's son lived here, & at one point it was the capital of new jersey. Also, the first black voter in the united states was from here. Thats all i can recall from the top of my head that would be of any interest and it doesn't really rival some of the towns here but i thought i'd share. :]
