Strange jeans aside, I have good news!

Remember the too-slutty little black dress? I have a new classier one, right in time for a technical writing presentation I have to give this week:)

Today is a good day.

I always have a hair elastic on my right wrist, unless I am somewhere super duper fancy, which rarely happens. My hair is too much a pain to not have one.

I've pretty much always got a brown and a black one, unless they're in my hair:P The forearm greenness is leftover sharpie doodle from a drunken Saturday night that just won't come off.

I always have 4 hair ties, a length of string, and a rubber band around my right wrist.

along with two friendship bracelets, a bead bracelet given to me by my friend in Israel, and a wannabe livestrong, is this too much?
I take them off when I'm doing something fancy...

I'm in the hair band club too! (I'm also wearing "denim leggings" right now...)

If you don't want to spend too much on boots/trainers make sure you buy really good insoles (esp. if you have flat & smelly feet!) it can totally change a pair of shoes!.

I have a hair tie around my wrist as well, pretty much perpetually. Just one of those things that comes in handy.

So, this talk about boots and running shoes has made me think. I love my current boots, but they don't fit my legs very well. It could be because they are a size and a half too large (remedied in the foot part by adding more insoles), but sometimes when I walk a ways or run at all in them, I get shinsplints. It isn't consistent, but always happens when I'm wearing these. So, I think I need to get new shoes if I'm going to get more physically active. Does anyone know of any ways to tell if the ones I am looking at will fit me better, besides walking a mile or so, taking them off, putting them on again, rinse and repeat several times?

I got new suit pants that aren't way too big, a blazer and shirt, a new bag and grown-up shoes (they are even sort of not uncomfortable) and everything! I don't really feel like myself wearing any of it, except the bag, but I'm getting used to it, I guess. Needed the blazer and pants/suit because we need to dress "properly" when visiting companies in Japan, apparently. The blazer kind of makes my boobs look huge, which is weird, but I may just not be used to it. Best part was almost that my parents paid for almost all of this (excluding the shoes, but including the $140 bag, which I thought was way too expensive), which was pretty cool of them. It's odd how willing they suddenly are to pay for a bunch of stuff now that I don't live at home.

Picture of the bag and shoes!

I kind would've preferred a different strap on the bag, but this one was actually surprisingly comfortable, and I love that it's a very "basic" bag, but looks nice. And the shoes look weird here, but they're completely black and not that weird irl, and even have a bit of heel.

ETA: I forgot to post my question. What kind of shirt do you think would look..well, professional, but not like you're trying too hard, under a suit on a girl who is 22, but looks way younger? We're visiting companies, but mostly just for tours and stuff, so yeah. I have a couple of nice-looking "proper" shirts with collars and all that (and I really like them, but I have no idea what the English term to specifiy that kind is), but then there's the option of other kinds of tops, and I'm just not sure.

Speaking of, is there anywhere online that sells decent cowboy boots for a decent price? I badly desire a pair but I'm not quite prepared to pay the prices I've seen them for in meatlife retail places.

Ladybug, collared shirts are pretty much standard with suits, but you can also get away with a knit top under a jacket if collars aren't your thing.

http://www1.macys.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=365072&PseudoCat=se-xx-xx-xx.esn_results

Just be sure to not have anything with a low neckline, especially if the jacket already accentuates your bust.

They are purple and rather extremely tight. I like them but I'm rather unsure if they make me look extremely fat or not.

You don't look fat at all, and I don't understand why you would even think that. However, pants that tight are not really flattering on anyone, super skinny or fat. I'd say get them in a size or two bigger if possible, the colour is ace.

I do too, Linds! I even wore them for an entire day while walking a lot and my feet don't hurt one bit. Awesome.

And yeah, Midnight Umbreon, the pants don't make you look fat, but pants that tight rarely work well, imo. They can, in some rare cases, but those cases are few and far between. It's difficult to say without seing an entire outfit, but I'm a skeptic.

Are they girl pants? The look basically the same as my purple skinny jeans, but mine are looser than that because I had to get the size bigger than what I usually wear. They would probably look good with just a purple t-shirt and some simple shoes (I wear my skully flats with them, but I am a girl and wear girly shoes, so you would need something different).

No, they're Men's pants. Taking pictures in mirrors doesn't quite work but I'll post a link to the shirt I would be wearing.

That one.
The shoes would be my regular brightly colored Vans Slip Ons. They are all rainbow like and match pretty much anything. If not, then Chucks.

I love them I want them so hard, now keep in mind I wear my pants virtually painted on and I like them that way. However, I am a girl.  I don't really like super tight as a rule on guys, but they're so so

I made a hair piece out of feathers!

(excuse awkward face)

I am really pleased since this my first hair piece, What do you guys think? What would it look nice with?

also I got some new shoes I love them they are both tacky in their own special ways

@purpleskinnies: they're not like omgwtf horrible... they could probably be pulled off-I've seen tight purple jeans pulled off somewhat okay. nevertheless, probably will always look really high-school alt kid... like all wearing huge multi-colored high-tops and wonky v-necks and shit

imo, good advice to guys who don't want to dish out high amounts of dough for high quality foreign denims: just buy some levis or BDG skinnies(if you dig UO)

I can't even really imagine wearing genuinely tight pants; I think it looks silly and would feel rather constricting. I mean, the closest fitting clothing I own is a a set of long underwear for when it's a few degrees shy of absolute zero outside and I have to take a roadtrip to shovel my grandfather's ginormous driveway. And needless to say, modern long underwear is a lot stretchier than jeans and is pretty strategically tailored around the dong region compared to girl pants.

Oh, wait. I guess you said they're not girl pants.

I still think they look silly.

Also learn how to rock them 'cause otherwise you just look like a douche.

Do you got the sexy legs?  Are you sitting comfortably? Am I shades of green? Or red? Are you comfortable? Showing it all off? Or aren't you self-aware?
If you've got those sexy legs?
You're a braver man than me.
Do you know who you are? I don't know what I look like. I look like someone else.
When I showed it all, I got mixed reactions. The people it attracted, were all turning me off. And it made my feet look too big anyway.
Now boot cut is my thing. But you got yours. And you're a braver man than me.

So, I'm a dude in need of some jeans. What are some brands and styles that the cool kids wear? (note: the highest I'll pay for a pair of jeans is like....$30)

Also, feel free to post your own fashion questions.

I'm not into brands, but if you buy jeans that fit right you don't need to worry about the brand because they'll still look damn good. Oddly enough, the best fitting pair of jeans I've ever owned was from Wal-mart (as embarrassed as I am to admit I actually go to Wal-mart). They're jeans were around $20-$30.

My best advice: go to Walmart, Savers, Plato's Closet, basically anywhere super cheap and try on jeans until you find a pair that fit phenomenally.

The best pair of jeans I ever owned was a pair from Oxfam. £10 for a perfect fit. The deep blue was becoming. I wore them for a year. The only jeans I had. Wore away to nothing.
They're the toughest pants you'll own, but if you own them every day, they won't last as long as you'd like for them to last. If I spend £30 for a pair to last a life time, it'll only last a year.
£10 for the best jeans I ever owned.
£30 for three pairs, rotated every day, maybe would last a little longer.

My jeans are blue. My jeans are blue. They're blue 'cept for the black pair. If I wore purple pants. I'd look like the hulk. Minus a couple of tonnes. And we'd look like a rainbow.
My red jeans. My red jeans don't go with my green shirt. Those pants look good, they look better on the rack. Than hanging off my ass. They look fine. Underneath my jacket.

But my jacket's on the wall.

I am saying that it's better to spend smaller ammounts on multiple jeans because they'll last longer, and that you need to really consider what they'll look like on you with the rest of your wardrobe before you decide to buy them.
There's hunks of wood our heads and we chip parts off and refine them before we toss them into our collective consciousness. Think about all the wood we're wasting.

Darryl is on acid and giving advice about Jeans, that is just how he rolls.

I actually really like skinny jeans but I have to buy them in sizes really big for me because I have normal person legs so the result is I wind up in normal looking jeans but they don't taper out so much at the very bottom, which I really like because that lets me roll up the legs instead of having to get them hemmed.

It makes me look like I'm out of A Country Practice but I really dig on rolled up jeans. If you do it with normal jeans you look like a complete dick, but I think it looks good with the skinnies (that aren't really skinny)

Of course I don't actually 'do' fashion so I'm probably being laughed at in the streets.

If I wore skinny jeans I'd be tempted to stuff things down the front of my pants so I had a humorously large package.

Also I'm afraid I don't like coloured skinny jeans on dudes. I like Gene's black ones though, 'cause he wears them with boots and they make him look kinda Elizabethan.

Bluh. No more pants.
My mother has now taken them away because she says, "I wasn't expecting them to be so tight."

The end.
