DC Universe Online

Sylens21:
So after an extensive two-second search of the forums for a related topic, I have decided I'm being new and exciting.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you DC Universe Online.

I'm not into MMORPGs, but this game makes my pants go all a-quiver.

0bsessions:
Meh. I've been reading about it since it was announced and am more than a little underwhelmed. DC's been getting steadily worse for the last four or five years and I'd sooner trust a heroin addict with my first born child's safety than trust SOE with another licensed MMO.

Champions Online, however, looks like it'll be the cat's pajamas, as it were.

I could have sworn we talked about this in another thread, but I couldn't find one either.

So anyway, DC Universe Online looks like a massive rip-off of City of Heroes.  Right down to the in-game artwork and even the layout of the website.  I am gonna agree with Jon and say that the next iteration of City of Heroes, Champions Online looks like a way better comic book-based game right now.

ps: sworn sworn sworn sworn sworn sworn sworn sworn sworn

what an odd little word

KvP:
Don't you hate it when that happens? I'll be typing something and go "hey wait, is 'two' really a word?" goddamn english language.

Anyway, yeah, I'm a little burned out by superheroes in general right now (Dark Knight being the exception, I kind of want to see it a third time.) but licensed universes especially. Out of all the superhero movies I've seen (that were not Dark Knight) Hancock was the most interesting simply because it was off-brand. Shame they screwed the third act something fierce. Were I into MMOs I think City of Heroes would appeal to me more than DC Universe Online.
