Hmm..With Anthrax, I'd say to probably check out Persistence Of Time, and Among The Living, and then definitely Spreading The Disease. Also We've Come For You All.

Those are my favorite. But Persistence Of Time and Among The Living are probably [in my opinion] the best.

I'm guessing Leinad is one of these people.

Yes, I am, I love metalcore. I listen to it quite a lot and I love the shows. I don't like a very large amount of most metal, in fact, a lot of it makes me sad the genre was invented, but I really like some of it. If you are calling ABR cookie cutter that's okay, I don't listen to too much other stuff to tell you who is the cookie cutter and who is the cookie, but I like ABR and that isn't going to change. Not to mention I actually know the guys.

August Burns Red is for metal what Agnostic Front is for hardcore.

give me some Cave-In and/or Coalesce, please.

I am also a huge fan of Pig Destroyer. that drummer continues to blow my mind each time I see them.

There's a bunch of good thrash out there. Testament's most recent was really solid. Municpal Waste is always fun to listen to. Other good thrash: Kreator, Exodus, Merciless Death, Nocturnal Fear, Hypnosia...

As for hardcore, I'm mostly a metal guy, so it reallly has to be good for me to like it. But there are a couple hardcore bands that I think are amazing: Have Heart, Trash Talk, Pulling Teeth, Shai Hulud, PALEHORSE

as a label, I think 'deathcore' is absolutely retarded. I guess I listen to some bands that are considered to be part of this label: Veil of Maya, After the Burial, Born of Osiris, For the Fallen Dreams. I probably like After the Burial the most because they pull off the polyrhythmic Meshuggah worhsip so well.

Just don't get Exodus' most recent, that was a turd. I don't mind long songs, but they have to be written differently than 3 minute thrash songs to be worth making 10 minutes. I listened to that album once, and the only song from it I have chosen to listen to since then was bonded by banjo, because that is just awesome. I have hope for Exhibit B, because I liked SHKM and Tempo, hopefully Exhibit A was just an example of one of their poorer albums, like they have made a few of.

They are also re-recording Bonded By Blood, which I hope will be good, even though it has horrible horrible potential.
