Nekkoru:
As in, albums you can legally download, be it from torrents or the band's website. Any recommendations?

By the way - Radiohead initially released In Rainbows as a "free" CD - is it still legal to get a free copy?

Metallica released their new album for free, but I don't know if you can download it.

I remember a thread about this back in July, but it didn't catch on. If you're interested in that, it's here.

sean:
You linked the last thread badly. This should work.

As I stated in the last thread, The Pax Cecilia is fucking awesome. If you want more information, I suggest you click the link above.

bbqrocks:
Man, music in free time is so aweso-

Oh. Damn.

Check out 8bitpeoples (I think it's called) for tons of free awesome chiptune.

Scandanavian War Machine:
have you been to the Mediafire Thread yet?

i'm pretty sure that thread is legal....on some planet.

imapiratearg:
There's a member on here, TheoristB, his band released their second EP for free on their website.  Although, I think that was supposed to end sometime, I'm not sure if you can still get it.  Do a Google search for Inspector Owl and you might find it.

Also, a local band called The Year's Best released their most recent EP on their Myspace for free.  I don't know if you dig alternative-type stuff, so either of these suggestions may not be what you're looking for.
